Janice Tunnell, a celebrated makeup artist in the worlds of beauty and
entertainment, hails from Baltimore, Maryland. Tunnell earned a degree in
Accounting & Business Management from North Carolina State University,
studied makeup at the Von Lee School of Aesthetics, and nail care at Reynolds
Institute in Baltimore. Janice elevated her skills in makeup as a freelance artist for
Bobbi Brown, Tony & Tina, and Smashbox Cosmetics as well as working on commercials, documentaries, and independent film and TV. Janice is a proud member of IATSE Local 798, where she serves on the Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

A respected makeup artist in film and television, Janice’s goal is to help women
enhance their beauty from within. With a great knowledge of skin care and precise makeup application, along with a desire to be excellent in all that she does, Janice has earned a reputation that keeps her in demand. She has worked with Amandla Steinburg, Kerry Washington, Regina Hall, Taraji P. Henson, Erica Ash, Monica Calhoun, Laz Alonso, Vivica A. Fox, Kym Whitley, Regina King, Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Union, Anthony Mackey, Mike Epps, Wendell Pierce, Yolonda Adams, Chris Bauer, Carmelo Anthony, Dan Marino and many more.  Her work has been seen on Netflix, Starz, ESPN, BET, and OWN and produced by some of the biggest studios like Disney, MGM, Marvel and more.

Janice boasts an impressive list of television and film credits including: Till, The Hate U Give, Ambitions, No Good Deed, Wonder Woman, Hunger Games, Ladder 49, The Notebook, Atlanta, Step Up, Sweet Magnolias, Survivor’s Remorse, The Red Road, Underground, Wise Guy, Hustle and Flow, Stomp The Yard, and Hunger Games, to name a few.

​For the past 15 years, Janice, along with her twin sister Denise, host and produce the hit online radio show ‘Beauty Talk with Denise & Janice Tunnell’, where they interview some of the beauty industry’s greatest talents. Together, they developed a line of color cosmetics called Illusions Cosmetics that will celebrate its 25th year anniversary this year.
